Cleanups and Plantings

THROUGHOUT SCRANTON

ABOUT SCRANTON CITY PRIDE CLEAN-UPS

Scranton Tomorrow launched City Pride, a week of clean-ups and plantings throughout the City of Scranton, in the mid-1990s, to spruce up streets, sidewalks, parks, and landscapes after a long winter in northeastern Pennsylvania. With support from community volunteers, City officials and members of the business community, the project grew to become an annual spring tradition. Most recently, the project focused on the Downtown Scranton Business District with business and property owners participating in clean-ups and plantings on their blocks. Scranton City Pride is back for 2022 and is bigger and better than ever, thanks to our continuing partnership between Scranton Tomorrow and NeighborWorks Northeastern Pennsylvania, and support from the City of Scranton. In conjunction with National NeighborWorks Week, clean-ups and plantings will be held in neighborhoods, parks and business districts throughout Scranton from June 4 -12.

• Businesses: Register your business and volunteer to help maintain your block, or spearhead a clean-up on your block.

• Individuals: Sign up to organize a clean-up in your neighborhood for your favorite park, or let us know what neighborhood you would like to work in, and we’ll pair you with a great team! At-home clean-ups count, too.
